A Party for a thousand guests, to celebrate the working partnership between Vodafone and Singlepoint (4U).
A party designed to be a mind-blowing extravaganza! All the romance of the traditional circus with the 21st century kick of Circus De Solei.
It was a cold March day when the Greatest Show on Earth arrived at Minton Hollins. In true traveling show people tradition a whole new village suddenly sprung up from a wasteland site. Staff in over looking offices viewed the daily changes to the site and the anticipation built of the undisclosed delights to come!
The cream traditional champagne reception bedecked with exotic flowers gave no hint of the excitement and wonders hidden behind the sealed red curtains.
ROLL UP! ROLL UP! There was a total bombardment of the senses as the curtains drew back and the band struck-up the old circus tune “Bring on the Gladiators”. The circus was very definitely in town as 16 freaks, geeks and truly uniques swarmed into the reception area. Contortionists, dwarfs, stilt walkers, snake charmers, fire-eaters, giant fantasy creatures surprised the guests and engulfed them into an enormous parade which was to take them through to the “Big Top”.
The “Big Top” area was a magical environment with state-of-the-art lighting in which the guests were to enjoy their evening meal and the entertainment to come. One hundred tables surrounded the circus ring; each table had a table center of items to be enjoyed through out the evening (disposable cameras, masks, feathers, costume items).
The party was designed to be a mind-blowing extravaganza! All the romance of the traditional circus with the 21st century kick of Circus De Solei. The evening kicked off with glamorous feather clad showgirls escorting the Vodafone and Caudwell representatives into the Circus Ring to say a few words.
As dinner was served the glamorous Ring Mistress called the first act into the ring, the enchanting Princess Bethany who mesmerised the guests with her Silks Aerial Dance.
Act two who had previously dazzled audiences through out the world from Paris to Saudi Arabia were the amazing Incandescence Troup. They thrilled the guests with their Animal Antics stilts and acrobatic show.
Ring Mistress Patsy wasn’t exaggerating when she guaranteed that they would never have seen anything like it before when she introduced gift from the Heavens, Internationally renowned Plastique! Their electrifying double bungees show ‘Elastique’drew gasps of disbelief at they defied gravity with their antics spinning and somersaulting high above the crowd.
Guests left their seats to get up close for the Grand Finale. But they soon took a step back as the temperature rose and the sparks began to fly! The show Lillian’s Creation caused a sensation with fire, and performers showering each other in burning sparks, which climaxed in explosions and fireworks.
The party mood created was electric, and as soon as The Bearded Lady got on to the turntables everyone was up and dancing for the rest of the evening. Even Plush staff and suppliers couldn’t hold themselves back from joining in for a bit of a boogie! Once everyone had been persuaded to go home the scene of devastation was proof of the fun had. Not one balloon or piece of table centre remained; the happy guests had left wearing the whole lot!
Quotes “ Plush did an excellent job of organising and delivering an extremely high-profile event which far exceeded our expectations. The acts were breathtaking; all the staff employed were friendly and very efficient. Our guests of honour (Vodafone UK) were so impressed that they have requested Plush’s details for future events. From the very start we had every confidence that Lisa and her team would make this an event to remember and we were certainly not disappointed. We would have no hesitation in recommending Plush as a company that can provide a well-organised and executed extravaganza whatever the occasion or size of the guest list. Gillian Powell – (Singlepoint (4U) Ltd) “You and your team exceeded expectations in every area and took all of the pain from the organisation of a thousand people party. Thank you for all your efforts and I will be recommending that we use you again in the future. Tim Whiting (Group Managing Director Caudwell Telecommunications Group)
