Giant Bouncing Kangaroos. Roo’d is a new act by Icarus Performance Troupe….a pair of kangaroos on amazing new bouncing stilts. Jumping up to a metre off the ground and 2 metres in a bound, they are a phenomenal sight. Their characters are a crossover of outback macho and inner city punk savy – always Roo’d but never offensive.
One Giant Leap – A pair of giant astronauts in Inflatable suits with giant moon boots also performing on the bouncing stilts. The long loping stride of the bouncing stilts gives the astronauts a sense of weightlessness as if they really are on the moon. From a remote kingdom, somewhere on the other side of this planet, a country yet to understand that the space race is well and truly lost, these guys don’t realize that they haven’t left Earth. Their giant “Michelin man” like bodies adds to the humour of this act. Comes with it’s own deep space lunar soundscape.
